cPanel Contact Information

Just like your Deluxe Hosting client area, your cPanel account has a section for contact information. cPanel will use this information to send notifications regarding your cPanel account, such as notifications, reminders and warnings.

When you sign up for cPanel based hosting with Deluxe Hosting, your cPanel contact information is set to reflect your client area contact information. However, if you update your client area contacts, your cPanel contacts will not.

If your cPanel email is not active, you could miss out on important notifications regarding your cPanel account. Here is how you can update your cPanel contact information.

Accessing the cPanel contact information

In order to update your cPanel contact information, you will need to log into your cPanel. You can find a guide on how to access your cPanel here.

cPanel preferences

Once you are logged into your cPanel, scroll down to the Preference section and click on Contact Information.

Updating your cPanel contacts

cPanel Contact Information

Once you open the Contact Information app, you will see all of your current settings.

Email Accounts

At the top, you can see your main email account, as well as a second email account. Notification emails will be sent to both of these accounts. You need to have at least one email account entered.

The main email is also the address that cPanel uses for password reset emails. For this reason alone, it is best to keep this set to an active email address.

PushBullet is a third-party app that can be used for notifications, and is supported by cPanel. You can find information on PushBullet here.

Note: We do not recommend for or against PushBullet and are not affiliated with them in any way.

Contact Preferences

You can choose what emails that you receive to the email accounts set above by checking them here. Or, if you do not want to receive any emails, uncheck them all. These settings are mostly self explanatory.

AutoSSL Notifications

Here you can set what notifications your account will receive regarding the AutoSSL service in cPanel. This service may be disabled on your account, so these settings may not do anything.

If you are still having issues, and need further support, please reach out to our support team using any of these methods.
