How to purchase a new domain

If you would like to purchase a new domain, you can do so from your Deluxe Hosting client area.

If you do not know how to access your client area, you can find out here.

Once you are logged into your client area, you have a few options to access the domain registration interface.

If you look in the bottom left-hand side of the screen, you will see the Shortcuts menu. In this menu, you will see the option to Register a New Domain.

You will also see a block in the main section of the home page labeled Register a New Domain. You can enter your requested domain name in this field and click on Register. If you are transferring a domain, you can use this block as well, but we will go over that process here.

Once you are at the Register Domain page, enter your preferred domain in the search box, complete the reCaptcha, and click search.

If your searched domain is not available, you will get message stating so. We will also provide you with a list of similar domains that you can choose from, including domains using other TLDs. You can choose one of these suggestions by clicking on the Add to Cart button on the domain. Or, you can enter a new domain name in the search box and try again.

If your domain is available, you will get the message “Congratulations! [your domain] is available!” Click on the Add to Cart button to begin the purchasing process.

Below, you will also see a list of similar domains that you may wish to register as well. Click on the Add to Cart button on as many as you want.

Once you have all of your domains in your cart, you should notice that the Add to Cart button on any of the domains has changed to a Checkout button. Click this button to begin the check out process. Once the checkout process has been completed and any invoices paid and processed, your domain registrations will commence.

Depending on the TLD of the domain name, your domains should be ready to start using within 24 hours. Some TLDs are instant, some will take some time. You should keep an eye on your mailbox during this time as some domain TLDs will require verification before the registration is finalized.
