Renewing your domain

As long as your contact information is kept up to date, your domains will renew automatically before their expiry date. However, there are times that you may wish to renew your domains manually. Or, perhaps you wish to add additional years to your current registration, or update the registration to renew for multiple years.

This can all be done from your Deluxe Hosting client area. Here is a guide on how.

Domain Registration Terms

Domains are permitted to be registered for no more then ten years and always renew on the same calendar day. For example, if you registered a domain for one year on June 16th, 2022, the renewal date will be June 16th, 2023. Leap years extra days are ignored.

If you decided to renew the same domain on August 12th, 2022, the new expiry date would be June 16th, 2024. The renewal is added to the end of the term so you can renew your domains at any time without worrying about wasting time or money.

It is not permitted by ICANN for a domain to be registered for more than 10 years. Because of this, the most you can renew a domain for is 9 years. The only time you would be able to renew a domain for 10 years is if the domain is expired.

As long as your payment information is kept up to date and you have AutoRenew enabled in your client area, we will renew your domain automatically before the domain expiry date.

Accessing the Domain Renewal section

In order to renew your domains, you will first need to access your client area.

If you do not know how to access your client area, you can find out here.

Deluxe Client Area

Once you are logged into your client area, you have several options on how to renew your domains. All of these options will lead to the same page.

The best option is to select Renew Domains from the Domains drop down menu. This will take you directly to the Domain Renewal page.

You can also access this section from your My Domains section. To access this section, click on the the Domains block in the center of the screen. Or you can click on Domains in the upper menu bar and select My Domains from the drop down menu. Either of these will take you to your My Domains section.

My Domains

Now that you are at your My Domains section, you will see a list of all your domains. To the left, in the Actions menu, you will see an option to Renew. This will take you to the Domain Renewal page.

There is also the option to Renew if you click on drop down menu for your domain. This will also take you to the Domain Renewal page.

Domain Overview

Lastly, if you click on one of your domains, you will now be at the Domain Management page. You will notice that Renew is still available in the Actions menu on the left-hand side. This will still take you to the Domain Renewal section.

Finally, there are options at the bottom of this page under “What would you like to do today.” Click on Renew your Domain to access the Domain Renewal section.

Renew your Domain

You should now be at the Domain Renewal page.

From here, you can renew one, or several of your domains manually. You can also register them for longer terms if you prefer.

For each domain, choose which term you prefer (1 to 9 years) and click Add to Cart. Once you have all of your renewals added to cart, click on View Cart to start the checkout process.

You will be asked to review your order. Please note that domain registrations and renewals are not refundable.

If you are satisfied with the order, click Checkout to complete the order. Once your invoice is processed, your domains will be renewed. You will receive a confirmation email for both the order and the domain renewal.

If you are still having issues, and need further support, please reach out to our support team using any of these methods.
